APIPA 2022: Virtual Conference

Welcome to the Association of Pacific Islands Public Auditors’ 33rd Annual Conference! APIPA 2002 will run from Monday, August 29 through Friday, September 2. APIPA will be delivered virtually this year, and you can expect the same high-quality training you’re used to! From our Monday and Friday plenary sessions to two tracks of training Tuesday through Thursday, you can choose the topics and sessions that work best for your training needs.

APIPA has more than three decades of training experience, matching our partnership with the Pacific & Virgin Islands Training Initiatives (PITI-VITI) to stage another excellent conference. Please view this year’s training sessions, instructors, and schedule, then select the training sessions that best meet your needs and register to join us. Plan on one week of excellent training and the opportunity to earn up to 20 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits.

Please contact the APIPA Secretariat with any questions. We look forward to seeing you on August 29! Welcome!

Welcome and Kaselehlie!

Greetings and warmest welcomes from Palikir in the Federated States of Micronesia! It is my great pleasure to welcome you to APIPA 2022, which will be our 33rd annual conference of our Association of Pacific Islands Public Auditors!

Despite the travel restrictions and the many differences in our time zones and latitudes, we are proud to continue offering excellent training sessions to provide necessary continuing professional education to our organizations.

APIPA 2022 will help you maintain needed training and provide new approaches to build on your respective governments’ important audit and accountability efforts. As in the past two years, our APIPA 2022 conference will be offered virtually and continue our innovative attempt to provide relevant training. Although travel may not be possible, this virtual delivery format allows us to maintain our professional competencies.

I look forward to seeing you in our sessions from Monday, August 29, through Friday, September 2, 2022. APIPA will offer two-hour blocks of training sessions, including plenary sessions and choices of 13 additional sessions. The plenary sessions on Monday and Friday are of general interest to participants. Each track day will offer one or two topics of general interest and a technical issue in auditing and accountability. With these 13 half-day courses and your opportunity to earn up to 20 hours of continuing professional education over our conference week, you will find this year’s conference invaluable to your professional development.

We appreciate the United States Department of the Interior's Office of Insular Affairs and the Pacific & Virgin Islands Training Initiatives (PITI-VITI) for their ongoing support of APIPA and our annual conferences. In addition, we thank Graduate School USA for their work securing outstanding instructors. Finally, we thank the U.S. Department of the Interior's Office of Inspector General for supporting the APIPA principals and offices.

Thank you for joining us for this important conference. Pandemics may keep us apart in the short term, but as we look forward, training will continue to bridge our oceans over many miles and time zones to keep us updated on accountability – which is now more critical than ever. Enjoy these opportunities!

Welcome!
